Medical Rehabilitation Center
The Lisimed Medical Rehabilitation Center offers physiotherapy, thermotherapy, physical therapy and massage services.
The main conditions addressed to the specialist office and the rehabilitation treatment base are:
- Degenerative rheumatic diseases (coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, polyarthrosis);
- Inflammatory rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis);
- Abaticular conditions (periarthritis, tendinitis, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, lateral/medial humeral epicondylitis), calcaneal spur, plantar fasciitis;
- Cervical, lumbar disc herniation (operated or not operated);
- Post-traumatic conditions (sprains, dislocations, fractures, meniscus tears, ligaments);
- Peripheral neurological disorders (nerve paresis, polyneuropathies);
- Central neurological conditions (sequelae after stroke);
- Disorders of vertebral statics (kyphosis, scoliosis, lordosis).
The range of services offered by the Lisimed Medical Rehabilitation Center covers the following areas:
Physiotherapy:
- Electrotherapy:
- low frequency (Diadynamic Currents, Trabert Current, Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulation) with analgesic, excitomotor, tonic, muscle relaxant effect;
– Continuous current (Galvanic) with the following therapeutic effects: anti-algesic, neuromuscular stimulation, biotrophic by improving loco-regional blood irrigation, vasodilator at the level of superficial and deep circulation;
– Medium frequency current (Interferential Currents) with the main therapeutic effects: excitomotor, decontracting, vasculotrophic, hyperemetic and resorptive.
These forms of current are made by devices with the latest technology:
– BTL 5620 electrotherapy pulse device;
– Physio Go electrotherapy device.
- Ultrasound therapy with the main physiological effects achieved depending on the working parameters: analgesic, myorexant, hyperemetic with the corresponding activation of the blood circulation.
– The BTL 5710 Sonoultrasound device;
- Magnetotherapy in rheumatic pathology by activating the magnetic field decreases the articular and periarticular inflammatory process, decreases muscle contracture, increases the cortical pain threshold, in post-traumatic pathology it accelerates callus formation, in nervous system pathology: the beneficial effect of the magnetic field is to decrease pyramidal and extrapyramidal spasticity in patients with stroke sequelae or patients with Parkinson's Syndrome.
– BTL 5920 machine
- High frequency therapy in which the therapeutic effect is derived by activating heat: hyperemetic, analgesic, muscle relaxant, antispastic, metabolism activation.
– Megapulse 265 device
- Laser therapy with the main general therapeutic effects: anti-algesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, biostimulant and tissue trophic.
– Laser machine BTL 5110
Thermotherapy: local, regional applications, with paraffin for the effects: analgesics, muscle relaxants, vasodilators, metabolism activation.
Modern paraffin melting device coupled with a thermostat to keep paraffin slabs at the set temperature.
Shockwave therapy – an extremely effective treatment against chronic musculoskeletal pain. The therapy is carried out through a high-intensity acoustic wave that interacts with the tissues in the body, leading to the restoration of neurovascularization, the withdrawal of chronic inflammation, the stimulation of collagen production, the dissolution of calcifications.
Indications:
- painful points (Trigger points);
- chronic enthesopathies;
- shoulder pain (calcifications, tendinitis);
- epicondylitis (lateral, medial);
- carpal tunnel syndrome;
- trochanteric bursitis;
- patellar tendinitis (patellar type syndrome);
- Achilles tendinopathy;
- plantar fascia;
- calcaneal osteophytosis.
Contact diathermy therapy (TCARE device) distributes high frequency electromagnetic energy leading to heating of the desired tissue. The main therapeutic effects are:
– pain relief;
- muscle relaxation;
- reduction of edema and tissue regeneration.
Indications:
– cervical pain;
– back pain;
– local muscle spasms;
– myalgias;
– tendinitis;
– carpal tunnel syndrome;
– gonarthrosis;
– posttraumatic edema.
Regional massage: sedative, muscle relaxant or excitomotor performed by highly qualified personnel (physiotherapist teacher).
Physiotherapy carried out through passive, active, active mobilizations with resistance under the permanent supervision of physiotherapists and using the existing medical devices in the recovery base: ergometric bike, elliptical bike, trellis, stepper, treadmill, chair for knee recovery, sea wheel for shoulder recovery , balance disc and board, Canadiana board, sandbags, therapy balls, elastic bands, dumbbells.
