It has been used since the mid-1980s by dermatologists and beauticians.<\/p>\n<p>It consists in the use of a continuous jet of abrasive aluminum oxide crystals, set in motion by the power of negative pressure (vacuum) and applied to the skin through a hand piece, achieving the partial removal of the epidermis. The depth of the peeling is variable and is decided by the operator depending on the objectives of the treatment. By removing cells from the superficial layers of the epidermis, cells from the base layer are stimulated to divide.<\/p>\n<p>Although it works superficially (generally only in the epidermis), microdermabrasion triggers deeper changes (at the level of the dermis). The synthesis of collagen, elastin and blood microcirculation is stimulated. The results are visible immediately after the first treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The skin is brighter and smoother.
